Becks comes to NA

Love it! Love it! I will definitely be going to check out some Toronto FC games (when they play the LA Galaxy, of course). The big news of the day is that David Beckham is coming to play football with the LA Galaxy. I am not a huge fan of the game, but I would love to see Becks live. Yes, he is past his prime. Yes, Posh wanted to move to Hollywood to be closer to TomKat (her NBF). That won't stop me from watching him play the game. Ahhh....can't wait for the summer! I hope the Toronto FC stadium will be completed by the beginning of the 2007-2008 season. According to the Toronto FC website, progress appears to be on schedule. I can't wait!

Not a winter warrior yet...

According to many articles written in the last week, and judging by the weather outside, I don't yet have to worry about being a winter warrior. Toronto hit a record overnight high last night with temperatures of 11 degrees. 11 degrees overnight, in January. What is this world coming to? Toronto has been on a warm trend since I bought my winter boots (in early December during our last bout of cold, winter weather). If the temperature has dipped below 0 degrees, it has been on only one or two occasions.

I await the cold, winter weather, but I won't have to deal with it for too long as I will be escaping it in February to head for the sunnier climes of New Zealand.
