What is the world coming to?

First the beheading on a Greyhound bus, and now a passenger swinging a hammer and attacking the driver of a local TTC transit bus. When will it end? At least in this situation, the passengers were brave enough to come to the aid of the driver, but should we have to? Will we resort to having security detection systems installed on each and every type of public vehicle. I take transit regularly, and I am not deterred by these incidents, but will there come a point when I will?
